Step back into the Zoolights tradition you know and love: your Zoo, transformed into a colorful winter wonderland with over 800,000 lights.
Is that a giant octopus?
All your classic favorites
What's your favorite display? The giant Pacific octopus? Giant tiger face? Flame tree? Seahawks tree? What about the Narrows Bridges? And don't forget to hunt for Sasquatch. Come find all your favorites, old and new.
Walk tunnels of lights
Picture perfect! Take a selfie with lit-up butterfly wings or walk through tunnels of stunning lights.

Grab some hot chocolate and stroll hand in hand past the lights for the perfect date night!

Groovy Goats Zoolights Edition! Meet our magnificent herd of goats in their festive holiday coats that they will wear just for you. Open nightly during Zoolights and included with admission.
Roast S'mores
And Pudgy Pies!
Head over to the Cafe Deck and warm up around the fire while roasting s'mores and pudgy pies (ooey, gooey sandwiches toasted over an open flame)!

Sumatran Tiger Gets A Root Canal

Point Defiance Zoo’s 12-year-old resident male tiger, Sanjiv, recently had a dentist appointment to fix a fractured tooth. Dr. Alice Sievers, a board-certified veterinary dentist and one of only 250 veterinary dental specialists in the world, volunteered her time with veterinary assistant Sharon Ghormley and veterinary technician Taylor Parker, all from Vancouver-based Pet Dental Specialists, a clinic primarily focused on treating dogs and cats with dental issues.
